Impact Resistant Roofing
Impact Resistant Roofing in
Dallas–Fort Worth
Advanced Defense for North Texas Storms.
The Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex experiences some of the most severe weather in the country. Every spring, powerful thunderstorms produce large hail and high winds that easily fracture traditional shingles and strip away their protective granules.
At Ironclad Roofing, we believe your roof should be an impenetrable shield, not a liability. That is why we specialize in installing high-performance, impact-resistant roofing systems engineered to absorb massive hail impacts, resist cracking, and provide ultimate long-term durability.
THE SCIENCE OF IMPACT RESISTANCE
What Does “Class 4” Actually Mean?
Impact-resistant roofing materials are scientifically engineered to withstand strikes from hail and wind-driven debris. The roofing industry measures this durability using the UL 2218 impact resistance standard.
Materials are graded from Class 1 to Class 4. Class 4 represents the highest impact resistance rating available. To achieve this, a roofing material must withstand the impact of a 2-inch steel ball dropped from 20 feet without fracturing or splitting.
Radically improved resistance to hail damage and shingle fractures.
Significantly longer overall roofing lifespan.
Insurance Premium Discounts
Because Class 4 roofs drastically reduce the likelihood of a claim, many Texas insurance carriers offer substantial annual premium discounts to homeowners who install them.
OUR PREMIUM IMPACT-RESISTANT OPTIONS
Choose Your Level of Protection
We install the industry’s most technologically advanced roofing systems. Explore our premium options below:
F-Wave Synthetic Roofing (The Ultimate Defense)
The next evolution in roofing. F-Wave contains absolutely zero asphalt and zero granules. Made from commercial-grade thermoplastic polymers, it offers extreme durability and is currently undergoing testing for the elite Very Severe Hail (VSH) classification.
Malarkey Performance Shingles (NEX® Polymer Technology)
Malarkey revolutionized the asphalt shingle by blending rubberized polymers directly into the asphalt. This makes their Vista® AR (Class 4) and Legacy® (Class 4) lines incredibly flexible, allowing them to absorb hail impacts like a rubber mallet rather than cracking like glass.
Atlas StormMaster® Shake (Core4® Technology)
Atlas StormMaster® shingles utilize proprietary Core4® polymer-modified asphalt to provide a Class 4 impact rating combined with a stunning architectural shake-style design. They also feature Scotchgard™ protection to prevent ugly black algae streaks.
